Notes for systems without their own guide. Your provider or phone admin supplies the exact menu path, and the Go-Live Checklist rules apply to all of them.
Your Avoca forwarding number is provided by your Avoca Customer Success Manager or Technical Account Manager.

GoTo Connect

Routing lives in the main line’s dial plan (call flow). Ask your GoTo admin to set it to:
  1. Business hours: ring your office (ring group or queue) for about 30 seconds, then forward to your Avoca number.
  2. All other hours, nights, and weekends: forward straight to your Avoca number.
  3. Caller ID: keep the caller’s own number on the forward.
GoTo menu names vary by account; confirm the exact steps with your GoTo admin or GoTo support.

Nextiva

  • Call center routing: go to Call Center, select your call center, open Routing policies > Overflow, choose Transfer to phone number, and enter your Avoca number. Update Night Service the same way for after hours.
  • Shared call centers: two brands or locations sharing one call center can’t be routed separately until Nextiva splits them.
  • Simple routing: without a call center, ask Nextiva support to add your Avoca number to your routing for after-hours and unanswered calls.

8x8

Forward each brand or location line to your Avoca number. Test one line before changing all of them.

Podium

Podium holds the forwarding number for calls it answers. Confirm in Podium that it is your Avoca number.

Google Voice

Forwarding rules are in your Google Voice settings. Add your Avoca number as the destination for the hours or conditions Avoca should cover.

Microsoft Teams Phone

Teams rings everyone, and transfers back to your team have been unreliable. Talk to your Avoca team before going live on Teams.

Call tracking numbers

Call tracking tools such as CallRail and Invoca give each ad or listing its own number, then send the call on to a destination. They usually don’t decide who answers.
  • A phone system sits behind the tracking tool: leave the tracking tool alone and set the forward in that phone system. Tracking keeps working because the call still passes through the tracked number first.
  • The tracking tool sends calls straight to a cell or a single line: change the tracked number’s destination to your Avoca number.
  • Per-source destinations (common in Invoca): update each source that should reach Avoca. A source you skip keeps ringing its old destination.
  • Numbers that skip the routing: a number on your website, Google Business Profile, or an old ad can ring your phone system directly. List every public number and confirm each one follows the same route.
