Avo opens in a Chrome side panel, so you can ask questions about your Avoca workspace without leaving the page where you are working.

Ask from any tab

Keep Avo beside your CRM, phone system, or other browser-based work.

Use your team's knowledge

Get answers grounded in the selected Avoca workspace and its available knowledge sources.

Continue recent work

Reopen conversations saved to the same workspace.

Stay in control

Review supported changes before Avo applies them.
Your Avoca administrator must give you access to at least one workspace, and Avo must be enabled for that workspace. The current extension requires Chrome 114 or later.

Install Avo

1

Open the Avo listing

Open Avo in the Chrome Web Store. The listing is currently available by direct link, so save or share this exact URL instead of searching the store.
2

Add Avo to Chrome

Select Add to Chrome, review the permission prompt, and select Add extension. If your organization manages Chrome and blocks installation, ask your IT administrator to allow the Avo extension with ID dnhfcoagdddpmjchehhaoddgbkllpmpg.
3

Pin Avo for quick access

Select the Extensions puzzle-piece icon in Chrome, then select the pin beside Avo. Pinning is optional, but it makes the Avo icon available in the toolbar.
4

Open the side panel

Select the Avo icon in the Chrome toolbar. Avo opens beside the current tab and remains available as you move between tabs.

1

Start Avoca sign-in

In the Avo side panel, select Sign in with Avoca. Chrome opens a secure Avoca sign-in page in a new tab.
2

Choose your sign-in method

Use the same account you use for the Avoca dashboard. To sign in with an email and password, select Use password instead, enter your credentials, and then select Sign in with password. If your organization uses Google or company SSO, use the applicable option instead.
3

Return to Avo

After the page says Successfully signed in, close the sign-in tab if it does not close automatically and return to the Avo side panel.
If you were already signed in to Avoca in Chrome, the secure handoff may complete without asking for your credentials again.

Choose the right workspace

Avo shows only workspaces available to your Avoca account. Select the workspace whose calls, business information, and knowledge you want Avo to use. If you belong to more than six workspaces, use Search workspaces to narrow the list. Avo remembers the selected workspace the next time you open it. To change workspaces later, select the workspace name in the Avo header and choose Switch workspace.
Always check the workspace name before relying on an answer or approving an action. Avo authorizes every request against the selected workspace.

Ask Avo a question

Enter a question in the composer and press Enter or select Send. Use Shift+Enter to add a new line without sending. Useful questions for a customer service representative include:
  • What information should I collect before booking a new customer?
  • What is included in our membership program, and what does it cost?
  • How should I handle a cancellation or rescheduling request?
  • When should I escalate a customer complaint?
  • Do we service this type of equipment or repair?
  • What should I tell a customer who asks about fees or warranties?
For the most useful answer, name the policy, program, service, or customer situation you are asking about. Ask a follow-up question when you need a shorter script or clarification.
Avo answers from the selected workspace and the tools and knowledge sources available to it. It is not a public-web search tool. If an answer depends on an uploaded document, the document must be available and fully processed in that workspace.
While Avo is responding, select Stop to stop the response. If a request fails and the error includes a retry button, select it once to retry the last message.

Start a new conversation or reopen one

Use the controls in the Avo header:
  • Select New conversation (the plus icon) to start a clean thread. This does not delete the previous conversation.
  • Select Conversation history (the clock icon) to see recent conversations for the selected workspace.
  • Select a conversation to reopen it and continue from the saved context.
The extension and Avoca dashboard use the same saved conversation history. A conversation shared with you is labeled Shared.

Review an action before it runs

Avo can answer questions without changing workspace configuration. When a supported request would make a change, Avo displays an Approval required card. Before approving:
  1. Confirm the workspace and target.
  2. Read the action label and every displayed detail.
  3. Select Approve only when the proposed change is correct, or Deny to leave the workspace unchanged.
  4. For a higher-impact action, complete the additional Review & approve confirmation.
  5. Verify the saved result in the Avoca dashboard after the action completes.
Approval requests expire. If one expires or the underlying configuration changes, ask Avo to read the latest state and prepare a new proposal.

Keep your account and data safe

  • Install Avo only from the official Chrome Web Store listing.
  • Sign in only on app.avoca.ai.
  • Do not paste passwords, API keys, payment-card information, or other secrets into a conversation.
  • Sign out before another person uses a shared browser profile.
  • Review the full conversation before sharing it from the Avoca dashboard.
The current extension does not read the contents of the tabs you visit and does not capture or record browser audio. It connects to Avoca so it can authenticate you, load authorized workspaces, and run Avo conversations.

Troubleshoot Avo

Confirm you are using Chrome 114 or later and opened the direct store link above. If Add to Chrome is unavailable or Chrome says your browser is managed, ask your IT administrator to allow extension ID dnhfcoagdddpmjchehhaoddgbkllpmpg.
In the Avoca sign-in tab, select Use password instead before entering an email and password. After selecting Sign in with password, wait for Successfully signed in before returning to the extension. If the handoff still fails, open chrome://extensions, find Avo, select its reload button, and then start sign-in again.
The extension lists only workspaces your Avoca account can access. Confirm you used the correct account, then ask a workspace administrator to review your membership. Sign out and back in after access is added.
Choose another workspace if appropriate. Otherwise, contact your Avoca administrator or Avoca Support to confirm that Avo is enabled for the intended workspace.
Confirm that the correct workspace is selected, the document belongs to that workspace, and processing has completed. Start a new conversation and ask a specific question that names the document topic. If the issue continues, include the workspace name, document name, and exact question when contacting Support.
Select the retry button once. If the request fails again, copy the short reference shown in the error and include it with the approximate time, workspace name, and question when you contact Avoca Support. Do not include your password or other secrets.

Sign out or remove Avo

To sign out, select the workspace name in the Avo header and choose Sign out. To remove the extension, open Chrome’s Extensions menu, select the menu beside Avo, and choose Remove from Chrome. Removing Avo from Chrome does not delete your Avoca account or saved conversations.
