Appointment/Service Type Guidance (in Booking Windows)

  • Location: Scheduling > Booking Windows > Service & Appointment Types
  • Purpose: Helps the AI understand what kind of work the customer needs at a high level
  • How it works: The AI uses this guidance to initially categorize the call (e.g., “This is an HVAC Repair” or “This is a Plumbing Maintenance request”) and determine which time slots to show the customer during the call.

Business Unit & Job Type Descriptions (in ServiceTitan Integration)

  • Location: Integrations > ServiceTitan > Business Units / Job Types
  • Purpose: Helps the AI select the specific job type and business unit to book into your CRM after the call.
  • How it works: After understanding the general category, the AI uses these detailed descriptions to choose the exact job type (e.g., “HVAC-Demand-10+” vs “HVAC-Demand”) and business unit to create in ServiceTitan.

Why both matter

The appointment/service type guidance gets the AI in the right ballpark, while the business unit and job type descriptions ensure the job is booked under the correct, specific option in your CRM. Think of it as:
  • Service/Appointment Types = broad categorization for scheduling
  • Job Types/Business Units = precise ServiceTitan booking details
