# Campaign preferences

> Save your defaults so new campaigns are quicker to set up.

Preferences saves the choices you'd otherwise make every time you create a campaign.

Find it at **Products → Outbound → Preferences**.

## Phone numbers

For each service area, choose a **Marketing** number and a **Customer Care** number. New campaigns fill in the Marketing number, or the Customer Care number if you didn't pick a Marketing one. You can still change it for any campaign.

Only approved numbers show up here. If a number is missing, check your [compliance](https://help.avoca.ai/outbound/compliance.md) status.

## Business units

Under **Business units specific to service areas**, choose:

* **Ask during campaign creation**
* **Yes, they are service-area specific**
* **No, use one shared selection**

If you choose Yes or No, new campaigns use your answer and don't ask again.

## Smart Exclusions

Turn on **Smart Exclusions** so one opt-out covers more than one kind of message. When a customer opts out of one channel, Avoca also stops contacting them on closely related ones. When it's off, an opt-out only stops the exact channel it happened on.

Select **Advanced settings** to choose exactly which opt-outs carry over. A red X means the customer is also excluded, and a green check means they can still be contacted. **Reset to defaults** puts it back the way Avoca recommends. Select **Smart Exclusions guide** to download a short explainer.

> Smart Exclusions may not be active for every account yet. Ask your Avoca team if you want to confirm it's on for you.

## Save your changes

Select **Save** in the top right. It saves your phone numbers and business unit choice. Smart Exclusions save the moment you change them.
