# Member maintenance audience

> Remind active members it's time for their tune-up.

Text your active members when they're due for a maintenance visit. They've already paid for it, so this is an easy way to fill your schedule.

There are two ways to build this audience. Pick the one that matches how you set up memberships in ServiceTitan.

**I don't use recurring service events**

**1. Start a new filter**

Go to **Products → Outbound → Audience Filters**, select **New Filter**, and name it "Member maintenance". New to filters? See [Create an audience](https://help.avoca.ai/outbound/audiences.md).

**2. Include members who are due**

In the **Include** group, add these rules:

| Category | Field | Setting |
| - | - | - |
| **Memberships** | **Membership Status** | **Active** |
| **Job** | **Last Completed Job Date** | **relative**, from 1 year in the past to 6 months in the past |
| **Job** | **Job Type** | Your maintenance or tune-up job type |

The dates above work for a plan with two tune-ups a year. Change them to match your plan.

**3. Leave out people who don't need a text**

Add three **Exclude** groups:

**Group 1: had a tune-up recently**

| Category | Field | Setting |
| - | - | - |
| **Job** | **Last Completed Job Date** | **relative**, from 3 months in the past to today |
| **Job** | **Job Type** | The same maintenance job type |

**Group 2: already booked**

| Category | Field | Setting |
| - | - | - |
| **Job** | **Scheduled Job Date** | **relative**, from today to 2 months in the future |
| **Job** | **Job Type** | The same maintenance job type |

**Group 3: customers you never text**

| Category | Field | Setting |
| - | - | - |
| **Customer** | **Customer Tag** | Your tags to skip, like **Do Not Service** or **Do Not Call** |

Keep the date and the job type in the same group, so they apply to the same job.

**4. Check it and save**

Look at **Potential Reach**, select **view** to see the people on the list, then select **Save**.

**I use recurring service events**

**1. Start a new filter**

Go to **Products → Outbound → Audience Filters**, select **New Filter**, and name it "Member maintenance".

**2. Include events that are due**

In the **Include** group, add these rules:

| Category | Field | Setting |
| - | - | - |
| **Recurring Service Events** | **Recurring Service Event Date** | **relative**, from 6 months in the past to 3 months in the future |
| **Recurring Service Events** | **Recurring Service Event Status** | **Contacted**, **Dismissed**, **NotAttempted** and **Unreachable** |
| **Recurring Service Events** | **Recurring Service Type** | Your recurring service type or types |

**3. Leave out people who don't need a text**

Add two **Exclude** groups:

**Group 1: already done**

| Category | Field | Setting |
| - | - | - |
| **Recurring Service Events** | **Recurring Service Event Status** | **Won** |
| **Recurring Service Events** | **Recurring Service Type** | The same type or types |
| **Recurring Service Events** | **Recurring Service Event Date** | The same dates as above |

**Group 2: customers you never text**

| Category | Field | Setting |
| - | - | - |
| **Customer** | **Customer Tag** | Your tags to skip, like **Do Not Service** or **Do Not Call** |

**4. Check it and save**

Look at **Potential Reach**, select **view** to see the people on the list, then select **Save**.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Your job types and tags come from your own ServiceTitan account, so use the ones you already have.

## Next steps

Build the [workflow](https://help.avoca.ai/outbound/workflows.md) that sends the texts, then put it together in a [campaign](https://help.avoca.ai/outbound/campaigns.md).
